So a question came up on the Autodesk forums about creating Equipment Templates. If you weren’t aware, you can save the settings of your Equipment to a file and then re-use that information for future Equipment.
Today’s video is in response to a question that came about from a previous YouTube video. We walk through how to add branches to the branch table in a Plant3D Spec. If you don’t add anything to them, Plant won’t know what to do at a branch, so they’re super important!
Last week Autodesk released Plant3D 2021, which now gives us the ability to collaborate our Plant projects in the (Autodesk) Cloud. You will need a subscription to BIM 360 Design for all of it to work though. Check out how to setup the project in our YouTube video below
If you’re looking to do a Plant3D Project with large coordinates, don’t! There is a problem in AutoCAD where it doesn’t like working with large coordinates, and this will flow down into Plant3D when running Isometrics, or even just modelling. Check out the example I did in the video below
